Last night, we attended "Bachanalia", which is a yearly celebration of all things Bach. For 6 hours, over 100 artists plays selections from the great composer in all different styles. In 1972, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Tom Parker put together a band which delved into light classical pieces. They released two albums, "Joy" in 1972, and "Masterpieces" later that year. "Joy" made it's debut on the charts on Jan. 1 and stayed there for over 3 months, peaking at #6.
